Miow Kit Fong, Chairman and Founder of MG Formula, has been honored with the Oxford Lifetime Achievement Award (Agricultural Innovation) and an Honorary Doctorate (Strategic Leadership). Nominated by Malaysia’s official Belt and Road Certification Institute, which recognized multiple Malaysian entrepreneurs, educators, cultural figures, and social welfare contributors across various fields, five outstanding individuals ultimately received this international award. Among them is our Chairman and Founder, Mr Miow Kit Fong.
For years, Dr. Miao Kit Fong’s outstanding contributions and innovative achievements in the agricultural sector have garnered significant attention. As a key figure at MG Formula, he has leveraged his profound agricultural expertise and extensive experience to not only advance agricultural modernization but also tangibly improve the livelihoods and incomes of countless farmers. In advancing sustainable agriculture and green economic development, MG Formula has collaborated closely with Dr. Maximus Peng Chenglong of the Majlis Pemerkasaan Pendidikan Negara (MPPN), Dean Huang Jinfa of the Belt and Road Certification Institute, and Dr. Billy Tang Deng Zhicheng of PWD Smart Farmability. This partnership has contributed unique insights and methodologies to global agricultural progress. Beyond technical support, it has driven positive transformations in education, training, and the development of the food safety supply chain.
From November 30 to December 6, 2024, Professor Miao accompanied the aforementioned team to the University of Oxford, where he received an honorary doctorate and the highly esteemed Oxford Lifetime Achievement Medal. This distinction not only recognizes his personal excellence but also highlights the team’s support and international acclaim for their outstanding achievements in agricultural innovation and education.
Professor Miao stated: “Agriculture is the foundation of human civilization and the core of sustainable economic development. Serving farmers and helping communities thrive is my mission and responsibility. I am deeply grateful!” Professor Miao’s award not only acknowledges his years of dedication but also sets an example for global agricultural cooperation. Particularly amid the global wave of sustainable development, it highlights the synergistic effects of the Belt and Road Initiative. This visit to Oxford University marks a significant step for Professor Miao and his team in advancing onto the international stage in agriculture, further solidifying MG Formula’s leadership position in global agricultural technology and sustainable development.
